We think safety first

For us, excellence in safety is the foundation of our business. We believe that all work injuries are preventable when we all take responsibility for safety. Potential risks are addressed in time and measures are taken to safeguard against these. Good operational safety is an absolute prerequisite for efficient operations in terms of the employees and the environment. We have common goals for safety and strive for continuous improvement.

We have achieved good safety performance level in our own operations. However, there are still too many serious accidents to our own and our contractors’ employees. Our target is to reduce severe accidents to zero by 2020. In 2016, as in 2015, there were no accidents leading to a fatality in our operations.
