Supplying energy and resource-efficient solutions

We are amongst the leading electricity sales companies in the Nordics and serve both business and private customers. We are also one of the world’s biggest producer and seller of heat. Additionally, we sell district cooling and natural gas. Our portfolio also includes the Charge & Drive service which is the Nordics’ largest electric vehicle charging network. For us, energy and resource efficiency is a key factor in energy production. In addition, we offer customers solutions for energy saving.

We do not stop at energy. Fortum is amongst the leading Nordic circular economy companies as well, offering environmental management and material efficiency services. The range of services includes recycling, reutilisation and final disposal solutions, as well as soil remediation and environmental construction services.

Renewable and guarantee-of-origin-labelled electricity

We are one of the Nordic countries’ leading sellers of carbon dioxide-free and guarantee-of-origin-labelled electricity and can offer growing numbers of customers an electricity agreement based on renewable energy.

All the electricity we sold to private customers in Finland and Sweden in 2016 was renewable and carbon dioxide-free, hydro-, wind or solar power. The origin of the electricity was guaranteed with European Guarantees of Origin. Some of the production was guaranteed also with the pan-European EKOenergy label granted by environmental organisations and in Sweden with the Bra Miljöval label.

Putting the customer in the centre

For us, customer satisfaction is the top priority in implementing our company strategy and growing as a business. We have set Group-level targets for our customer satisfaction and reputation. We use the extensive One Fortum survey to annually measure customer and stakeholder satisfaction as well as changes in the company’s reputation and the factors impacting it.

Our customer satisfaction in 2016 was rated as “good” in all business areas, except electricity sales to business customers. The results of the One Fortum survey clearly indicate that customers today are looking for advice and additional services related to their energy use.
